Click
I’m not sure why this movie got bad press or did poorly at the box office. I’m not sure why I’ve never seen it or why it’s never been recommended to me.
Maybe it’s because it’s Adam Sandler and we’ve seen his shtick before. Maybe it’s because it will make you cry—and boo-hoo-hoo, we can’t have that! Maybe it’s because it hits too close to home and we don’t like to look at ourselves (and the people we love) in the mirror…
Whatever the reason, man up, and see this flick!
Family Man has some of the same qualities as Click, the message here is different, but just as important as far as I’m concerned.
I will be adding this movie to my permanent collection and recommending it highly. Any media that can evoke emotions and thoughts like this is a keeper! Continue Reading »

What the HELL, do you, do?
Helloooo!
…
Senators!
…
Excuse me!
…
Yeah… YOU!
Senators of the 110th Congress
Can somebody tell me who you work for again?
Who pays your salary and benefits ? (are you kidding me?)
What’s that, I can’t hear you!
Year number 2, visiting the US Senate in session, in Washington D.C. with 50 restless 13 year olds.
You know what work we saw being done? None!
You know how long we waited to see nothing being done? 1.5 hours!
You know how many Senators were present? 1) Chris Dodd.
You know how many hoops we had to jump through to get into the Senate Chamber? Ticket line, meander through the Capitol, personal belongings turned over, metal detector check, wait in line at the door to be seated, snot nosed 20 something restricting where we could sit in an empty chamber = 6
You know what the 13 yr old students, the future of this country saw, employees for people in Washington, do for a living? Bubkiss!
They saw the lawmakers of this country not present at their jobs. They saw why the country is so upset with the system! They saw why nothing gets done! They saw the money their parents complain about paying in taxes being taken from their mouths and given to people who are supposed to be working, not working!
Hey! Good job!
Who’s going to put you on the unemployment line? We are! That’s who!
Who represents you in Congress? Maybe you should let them know how you feel… Senators of the 110th Congress
