The difference between Sheila Jackson Lee, Congress,

and regular working class people (besides the bucket…) is:

NJ Teacher To Pay $22K Fine For Phone Call

Asbury Park Teacher To Pay Large Fine For 4-Minute Call Made During Class

Her lawyer says a New Jersey teacher won’t appeal a $22,000 fine for making a four-minute personal call in class.

Court records show the Asbury Park High School performing arts teacher was covering for another teacher in 2008 when she called suspended superintendent Antonio Lewis.

A student recorded two students dancing while Getty was on the phone and posted it on YouTube.

The district prohibits teachers from making personal calls while performing assigned duties.

Asbury Park High School is a comprehensive, four-year community public high school headquartered in Asbury Park, New Jersey. It serves prekindergarten through twelfth grade.

Who is listening to the US citizens?

Elitist Representative Sheila Jackson Lee—Gotta love her!

Who does she think she is? She thinks she’s omnipotent, someone that gets elected over and over again and answers to know one—that’s who!

Isn’t this the what all the screaming is about?

I’m confused… Which side of the argument is the President on?

It’s the US Postal Service having the problems all the time…

—President Barak Obama

Isn’t the President making the point for the people hollering in town halls all over the country?

Like Allahpundit says on HotAir—the only thing that could have been better is if President Obama would have used the DMV or Medicare as a failed or failing government program to make the right’s argument that government doesn’ do well running things. (Speaking of which listen to how they talk about the failed public school sytem in this country sometime. And they want to run Healthcare?—Ha!)

Hypocrisy when you hear it.

Published by iChef Politikos under All, News, Op / Ed, Politikos

You’ll know it!  Hypocrisy by any other name is still, well, you know. Be prepared to answer your Liberal friends who conveniently won’t acknowledge that this piece of video tape exists and that it happens from their side too.

Obama flashback: Roberts and Alito are super-qualified but I’m voting no anyway

Prepare for the inevitable media finger-wagging towards Republicans who vote no on Sotomayor by refreshing your memory of how The One treated two eminent jurists while a member of the Senate. The clip of his Alito speech is shorter and more ironic — he worries about a judge who’d side with the executive branch in matters like (gasp!) indefinite detention — but the Roberts clip gives you a better feel for just how stupid and dishonest his litmus test is.

Michael Moore Makes Sense?

Published by iChef Politikos under All, News, Op / Ed, Politikos

Has the world ended as I know it?

How do we make a bad situation good? How do we solve our oil dependency? How do we put our own people back to work (here in the US)? How do we make national transportation more affordable? How do we make travel more eco-friendly?

I read the opinion piece and I can go along with the premise—so read!

Goodbye, GM …by Michael Moore

I write this on the morning of the end of the once-mighty General Motors. By high noon, the President of the United States will have made it official: General Motors, as we know it, has been totaled.

As I sit here in GM’s birthplace, Flint, Michigan, I am surrounded by friends and family who are filled with anxiety about what will happen to them and to the town. Forty percent of the homes and businesses in the city have been abandoned. Imagine what it would be like if you lived in a city where almost every other house is empty. What would be your state of mind?

It is with sad irony that the company which invented “planned obsolescence” — the decision to build cars that would fall apart after a few years so that the customer would then have to buy a new one — has now made itself obsolete. It refused to build automobiles that the public wanted, cars that got great gas mileage, were as safe as they could be, and were exceedingly comfortable to drive. Oh — and that wouldn’t start falling apart after two years. GM stubbornly fought environmental and safety regulations. Its executives arrogantly ignored the “inferior” Japanese and German cars, cars which would become the gold standard for automobile buyers. And it was hell-bent on punishing its unionized workforce, lopping off thousands of workers for no good reason other than to “improve” the short-term bottom line of the corporation. Beginning in the 1980s, when GM was posting record profits, it moved countless jobs to Mexico and elsewhere, thus destroying the lives of tens of thousands of hard-working Americans. The glaring stupidity of this policy was that, when they eliminated the income of so many middle class families, who did they think was going to be able to afford to buy their cars? History will record this blunder in the same way it now writes about the French building the Maginot Line or how the Romans cluelessly poisoned their own water system with lethal lead in its pipes.

But you and I and the rest of America now own a car company! I know, I know — who on earth wants to run a car company? Who among us wants $50 billion of our tax dollars thrown down the rat hole of still trying to save GM? Let’s be clear about this: The only way to save GM is to kill GM. Saving our precious industrial infrastructure, though, is another matter and must be a top priority. If we allow the shutting down and tearing down of our auto plants, we will sorely wish we still had them when we realize that those factories could have built the alternative energy systems we now desperately need. And when we realize that the best way to transport ourselves is on light rail and bullet trains and cleaner buses, how will we do this if we’ve allowed our industrial capacity and its skilled workforce to disappear?

1. Just as President Roosevelt did after the attack on Pearl Harbor, the President must tell the nation that we are at war and we must immediately convert our auto factories to factories that build mass transit vehicles and alternative energy devices. Within months in Flint in 1942, GM halted all car production and immediately used the assembly lines to build planes, tanks and machine guns. The conversion took no time at all. Everyone pitched in. The fascists were defeated.

Recruiting Center Gunman Targeted U.S. Military

LITTLE ROCK, Ark —  A man with “political and religious motives” killed a soldier just out of basic training and wounded another Monday in a targeted attack on a military recruiting center in Arkansas, police said. The shootings were not believed to be part of a broader scheme.

A police report based on an interview with the suspect says Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, 23, told police he observed two soldiers in uniform, drove up to the recruiting center in Little Rock and started shooting.

“He saw them standing there and drove up and shot them,” Lt. Terry Hastings told The Associated Press. “That’s what he said.”

Muhammad had converted to Islam at some point in his life and interviews with police show he “probably had political and religious motives for the attack,” Police Chief Stuart Thomas said.

Update: Video by NiceDeb The Truth Comes Out: Nancy Pelosi Knew about The Waterboarding

Ahahahahahaha!

100 Days Democrats

You know, it just keeps getting tougher all the time, to get away with a lie!

This picture is so classic.

CIA Says Pelosi Was Briefed on Use of ‘Enhanced Interrogations’

By Paul Kane
Intelligence officials released documents this evening saying that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) was briefed in September 2002 about the use of harsh interrogation tactics against al-Qaeda prisoners, seemingly contradicting her repeated statements over the past 18 months that she was never told that these techniques were actually being used.

A stark contrast when Madam Speaker is with others liars. Then it’s a laughs and high fives!

You know why this isn’t funny at all? Because they put their own power before the safety of the people of America. They blah, blah, blah and the sheeple Baaah, baaah, baaah…

Little Old Tea Party Getting Attention?

“Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”

I guess it’s a little bigger than being UN-REPORTED by the So-Called news: CNN, MSNBC, and Janeane Garafalo reporting. *Laugh Out Loud*

I thought this was the Take it to the Streets administration. You know grassroots, community organizing, Rules for Radicals—old school! Not when someone is using it against you—it seems…

Talk about misdirection: “this president just cut taxes for 95 percent of the American people…” —David Axelrod Is he talking about the $13 a week? Economic stimulus package on track for final votes

Officials estimated it would mean about $13 a week more in people’s paychecks this year when withholding tables are adjusted in late spring. Next year, the measure could yield workers about $8 a week. Critics say that’s unlikely to do much to boost consumption. “The most highly touted tax cut in the original proposal now translates into $7.70 a week for middle-class workers,” said Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky.

Obama’s Tax Cut for 95 Percent of Workers: $13 a Week

**** Axelrod: Tea Party Anger is Misdirected. Obama senior adviser says frustration over spending and taxes is “unhealthy.”

WASHINGTON — Damn the tea bags. A top adviser to President Barack Obama takes a dim view of last week’s anti-tax “tea parties,” promoted by organizers in the spirit of the Boston Tea Party. “The thing that bewilders me is this president just cut taxes for 95 percent of the American people. So I think the tea bags should be directed elsewhere because he certainly understands the burden that people face,” David Axelrod said Sunday.

Question from Yesterday

Published by iChef under All, News, Op / Ed, iChef Cinema

Bronx Bummers!

destroyed

HOW IS IT POSSIBLE? TO LOSE TO ANOTHER TEAM (EVEN if they were THE BEST TEAM which they certainly were not!) 22-4?

Bronx Bummer: Indians’ 14-run second dooms Yankees

The last place (I know it’s only April) Indians DESTROYED the (at home in the new stadium) Yankees on April 17th, 2009 by a score of 22-4… This is not the house that Ruth built—no way!

Forget about the highest payroll in Baseball let alone all professional sports. Forget about the caliber of players. Forget about it all except that it’s the NEW YORK YANKEES, the most winningest, storied franchises in professional sports…

Don’t give me EXCUSES! I’m not interested in injuries—everyone struggles through them. Don’t give me a bad day—everybody has them!

I can’t fathom that any professional baseball team can have that many runs against them. Let a lone my beloved Yankees. Even the worst teams don’t lose to the best teams by so many runs—Yet it happens at least once a year to the Yankees!

Full disclosure: I myself am not a fan of paying ridiculous salaries to unproven (in New York) players—It really is a crap shoot—some people can excel and some bomb! That’s reality!

Repeat after me:

It’s only April. It’s only April. It’s only April. It’s only April. It’s only April. It’s only April.

Ohemmmm…
