CHANGE!
Congratulations to Barack H. Obama! The 44th President of the United States…

Barack’s acceptance speech is going on live right now. He is a good speaker…
I found myself picking up my wine glass and toasting him when he mentioned that this is one country and WE are all AMERICAN’S.
As Lincoln said to a nation far more divided than ours, we are not enemies but friends. Though passion may have strained, it must not break our bonds of affection.
And to those Americans whose support I have yet to earn, I may not have won your vote tonight, but I hear your voices. I need your help. And I will be your president, too.
Touching! I believe.
As I have said, I hope the best for this country and I hope Obama is it!
Tonight Obama has my chance.
God Bless America!
Yes, there will be time for checks and balances, criticism and debate, but not now.
Tonight is time for celebration, a time for hope, and a time to believe that anything is possible…
Good night.

I’m so glad you embraced the moment! I didn’t stay up for it – went to bed when the kids did, after we all went to vote and finished homework and had a bite… we were wiped out. My oldest was all over me as I voted on the propositions, wanting to be sure we were on the same page (I told him later it was illegal to try to influence me at the polls, or to ask how I voted within 100 feet, He actually waited til we got to the car to ask again!). His class elected Obama, and he was very aware of the tax issue, as his dad and roommate have been talking a lot about their hard-earned money going to those who don’t pay taxes. I said, the people will speak, and we will all learn together.
I’m so glad you got out to vote!
Unfortunately, I will be sending a car over for your son—we have to bring him in for questioning… I hope he doesn’t mind company. He’ll be sitting next to Hillary.
