UPDATE II: 9-18-2008 Pelosi sees no reason why Rangel should step down. Unreal.
So, just to keep it all straight, Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-NY) has fishy, troubling personal finances but he doesn’t have to give up his seat in Congress. His party is not asking him to resign or step down. It looks like Mrs. Pelosi – who famously brought her broom to Congress to “clean it up” – is not even going to ask Rangel to resign his committee chair.
I can’t get Charlie Rangel’s hypocritical truth twisting voice out of my head! He chairs the House Committee on Ways and Means! My head just exploded!
The Dems never admit anything, they never take responsibility, and the blame everyone else—and it has been very effective for them. Expect more of the same!
