Follow up/Disclosure to “Sad news…”
I’m not in office, for the most part my life doesn’t really change from President to President, my salary is modest, it goes up a little from time to time, I pay taxes, I don’t take part of any social programs and I pay my (and a share of those less fortunate) share (I’m lucky that way, but I pay for it out of every paycheck), and I think I’m in the majority of people. I’m a good citizen, I pay my taxes, I try not burden society, I vote, and I don’t expect government to solve all my problems.
There will always be those who are less fortunate, (I have been less fortunate in my lifetime) Nobody, no politician will make it great for everyone all the time—it’s just not possible. That’s why I don’t count on the government doing that for me… What do count on is limited government power, an even playing field, and rules that are fair for everyone—a chance!
