The idea is to hopefully outrage the people within to make a radical change to stop being so radical. For example I could have said that ALL Feminists hate or have a disdain for men. I don't believe that they all do, but I do believe there is a fringe of the fringe group that definitely do. If I used "ALL Feminists hate or have a disdain for men" example I would expect disagreement and some anger, hopefully causing the discussion to make people think and possibly see things differently.
